Stordal Camping: surroundings

With little more than 1.000 inhabitants, Stordal is the smallest municipality, by head of population, in the country of Møre and Romsdal. In addition to the valley of Stordal itself, the municipality also comprises the idyllic little community of Dyrkorn and several mountain farms on the west side of the Storfjord.

The main Rv. 650 highway, which passes through Stordal, is an important tourist route and a natural choice for motorists aiming for popular attractions such as Trollstigen and Geiranger in inner Sunnmøre, as well as coastal destinations such as ålesund and the bird island of Runde. Using Stordal as a base, it is possible to reach all of Sunnmøre's major tourist attractions in only a few hours.
